In celebration of Archives month, please join us for a lecture by Danna Bell-Russel, 1982 Miami graduate and President-elect of the Society of American Archivists, on advocacy for your institution, your colleagues and yourself.
The lecture "Reaching Out, Reaching Back, Reaching Up" will be held Thursday, October 3 at in the Center for Digital Scholarship (King 303).

The Miami University Libraries Diversity Cluster would like to invite you to the 22nd Annual African American Read-In on Monday, February 7, 2011 between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. in King Library 320.
The African American Read-In has been an important component of the communities of Oxford and Miami University's Black History Month activities. It is through the participation and support of the university and the community that this event has been an ongoing success throughout the years.
Readers and listeners are what make the day. You can bring a selection by an African-American author or just come and listen! Selected books will also be available at the event.

The 3rd Social Justice Read-In will take place this Wednesday, November 17th from 2 to 4pm in King Library Room 320. Everyone is welcome to read or listen to others read. Readers can bring their favorite book or pick one from the display at the Read-In. A set of posters from the Student Action Center will be on display as well.

The Miami University Library Diversity Cluster is pleased to announce a Cultural Biography Film Series and Workshop with Dr. Ray Terrell which will take place beginning on September 10th. All screenings and discussions occur on Thursdays from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in King Library Room 320. The series is open to all University faculty, staff and students.
Three films will be screened and discussed over the course of the fall semester. A final session on the process of writing a cultural biography will complete the series. The final session will also include a brief introduction to podcasting for sharing cultural biographies on the web.

2. The Way Home (9/24/09) or White Mirrors of Privilege: Making Whiteness Visible (10/08/09)
