Summary: The story takes place in medieval Italy, where the beautiful Lady Althea of Sardi travels with her father to neighboring Duchy of Allena to marry the handsome Duke Eduardo. But unbeknownst to Lady Althea, Eduardo has come under the spell of a curse that turns him into a beast at night, and he asks to postpone the marriage while he tries to unlock the secret of the wicked spell.
