The Dean of the Miami University Libraries Dean Student Advisory Council is created with the intent of facilitating potent dialogue between members of the student body and those in positions of administration. Recognizing that the University Libraries system is an integral aspect of both student and faculty development, it is deemed vital that a Dean’s Advisory Council be established to provide an effective mechanism for continuous improvement. The Libraries Dean Student Advisory Council ultimately seeks to foster growth in the realms of library program development, feedback for library administration, and allow for student input in administrative decisions.

My name is Catie Correa. I am a junior mechanical engineering major with a minor in management. This is my third year on the Library Advisory Board. Other activities I am involved in at Miami are the Society of Women Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. I am participating in a research study on robotic skin sensors with Dr. Koo. Outside school, I enjoy walking, reading books, and hanging out with friends. Things I avoid are driving cars, pumping gas, and picking up anything over two pounds.

In high school, I worked multiple jobs and was on my school's varsity cross country team. I was a part of the National Honor Society and graduated as an AP scholar.
